Ease in to Old Mexico, where people speak Spanish. Click here to access the "Guide to Simpatico". Nature abounds in this area, where lots of rivers, mountains, ocean, large trees and lush vegetation characterize this sleepy country setting. The artistic and spiritual Huichol Indians live there, as well as over 250 species of birds. Up to the old seaport town of San Blas, you will find 20 miles of deserted sandy beaches, where the surfing and fishing is great, and the variety of sea life large and bountiful. The local oysters are some of the best on earth, and are available at dozens of nearby ramada's. San Blas offers services such as a bank, post office, fruit and vegetables market, restaurants, cafes, etc.
Take the bicycles, or walk to a restaurant with bungalows for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in Mira Mar and Santa Cruz, or cook at home. Daily maid service makes it a true vacation, as you just take it easy in one of the hammocks, and listen to music. It is a wonderful place to meditate, practice yoga and learn Spanish.
